Skyrim players can finally soar through the air on a glider

Skyrim players can finally soar through the air on a glider

Fly my pretties, fly!

I never knew that I wanted to do this skill in Skyrim so much, until now. It’s time to paraglide through the lands of Tamriel.

It’s fair to say that when it comes to open-world exploration, 2017’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild owes much of its inspiration to Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. However, in this instance, it’s Skyrim that has been inspired by Breathe of the Wild.

Check out the Skyrim Anniversary Edition trailer below!

One of the many fun aspects of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and its sequel, Tears of the Kingdom is being able to soar through the skies with a paraglider. This not only gave you the best view of the gorgeous Kingdom of Hyrule but it was also a great way to explore the map if you weren't a fan of fast travel.

In Skyrim, at least for the most part, your main means of travel is on foot, horse or fast travel. There is another cool way to travel thanks to one of its expansions, but I’ll say no more just in case you’ve not experienced that particular expansion yet.

I don’t use the fast travel in Skyrim all that much because I enjoy the sense of exploration, though I will use it from time to time if that journey is especially gruelling. That being said, if I were able to paraglide in Skyrim, I’d be using that feature all the time and thankfully you can courtesy of the free ‘Skyrim’s Paraglider’ mod available now via Nexusmods, created by LokiCXXVIII.

“Breath of the Wild's Paraglider comes to Skyrim!” reads the very brief description of the mod and to be fair, what else is there to say? Unfortunately, it seems that, unlike some Skyrim mods, this is only available on the PC version of the game.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
