Skyrim collides with Valheim in upcoming open-world survival RPG

This upcoming survival RPG is a history-filled adventure

With us all trying to survive in real life, we may as well try and do it in-game too so that is why this upcoming open-world survival RPG is one to keep an eye on.

Combining the open-world exploration of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with the gameplay of Valheim, Lost Legions is an upcoming “story-rich adventure” which will see players craft, build, explore and fight in order to survive.

Check out some epic wins & fails from Valheim below!

You will play as a Roman soldier after the events of an “historical catastrophic defeat” which will see you lost in the depths of Teutoburg Forest. If you didn’t already know, this was not the best time to be a Roman soldier so your every move will be fraught with danger.

This co-op survival title may have all the hallmarks of a classic entry in the genre by tasking you with cutting down trees, building bases and hunting. However, it takes a unique interest in the history of the time and so there will be a deeper level to the story as you progress.

Not only will you do the basics to survive such as eat, sleep and craft, you will also be able to rescue other legionaries who will fight alongside you. Your mini army will be able to take over neighbouring villages too which will reward you with extra resources.

With topics such as imperialism and colonialism to explore, Tarock Interactive was not afraid to give the survival simulator an extra layer and each character, whether barbarian, soldier or raider, will have a story to tell.

When you are not reliving history, you can explore diverse biomes, construct Roman war camps, craft superior equipment and even recover banners to restore Rome’s honour.

Lost Legions is expected to release some time in 2025 but can already be added to your Steam wishlists now.
