You’d really think that after so many years, players would have found everything that Skyrim has to offer. It might be a huge, sprawling title, but there’s only so much content that can be crammed in before you start heading into mod territory. And hoo boy, is that a whole other can of worms - who wants to see the NPCs actually breathe in their sleep? Well, you can now.
Anyway, somehow, after all this time, something new has been found, and it’s perhaps the most baffling feature imaginable. If “playing tag with dragons” was on your wishlist for The Elder Scrolls VI, good news - Christmas has come early.

As reported by TheGamer, one user on Reddit accidentally discovered that it’s possible to play a wholesome game with the fire-breathing, scaly terrors of the land: “I was playing tag with a kid, when a dragon attacked. So now I guess I’m playing tag with the dragon,” wrote BiShyAndWantingToDie. “Didn’t even know this was possible.”
In a series of screenshots shared by the user, you can see the whole thing play out, although unfortunately, the dragon didn’t really make for a great competitor. When the player hit and killed the dragon, the notification “Dragon is it. Keep away from him” appeared, signalling that by hitting it, BiShyAndWantingToDie had tagged the dragon, but since it died at that point, nothing else happened (although the quest did clear itself after a few minutes, apparently).

Other Skyrim players are loving the discovery: “I had no idea this was possible. This is awesome!” commented Aglet_Green. “Skyrim is the gift that keeps on giving,” added Legitimate_Basil_693.
Whether this is an intentional Easter egg or simply a bug isn’t known, but given that it’s been almost 11 years since the game’s release, you’d guess it’s probably more likely to be the latter. I don’t know about you, but I just want to see what would have happened if the dragon didn’t die - hopefully, someone is able to recreate this and go for a rematch.
