Some Xbox Users Surprised With Free Gift Ahead Of Xbox Showcase

Happy Sunday Xbox fans! With the Xbox and Bethesda showcase just a few hours away, it's a big day for Xbox users, and that’s to top off what has already been a big week.

In case you missed it, Microsoft finally unveiled their Xbox TV App which means that those with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription can now access cloud gaming via any Samsung TV without the need for a console. Nice, right? Xbox have also announced that they’re bringing back demos. You might want to check your account’s wallet though, because in recent days some Xbox users have been reporting a nice little freebie.

Take a look at this dedicated gamer who restored a broken and filthy Xbox 360 to its former glory.

Microsoft appears to have surprised certain Xbox users by giving them a $10 gift card to spend in the Microsoft Store. Who doesn’t love a freebie? The bad news is, the giveaway is totally random so not everyone is quite so lucky but hey, today could be your day. This kind of giveaway is fairly common for Microsoft so if your wallet remains gift card-less today, there’s always next time.

The giveaway runs alongside Xbox’s Deals Unlocked sale on the Microsoft Store so you could use your $10 freebie to pick up some incredible discounted titles including Far Cry 6, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and FIFA 22.

Xbox users took to the r/xboxone subreddit to share their varying degrees of luck. Drewbles82 wrote, “Never once got any free money, yet mate has had stuff almost every time.” That’s unfortunate. AlexNapalm exclaimed, “Got it last night. A happy surprise,” whilst lifeofmikey1 was thankful for the heads up saying, “I was about to say I never get this, but then I managed my wallet and found $10 to redeem, thanks.” A lack of notifications seems to be a common theme so it’s worth checking your wallet if you haven’t already.
