A PlayStation Subscription Service Just Came To Xbox Game Pass

The Sony and Microsoft comparisons are inevitable until the end of time, right? There is no way to completely separate the conversation about one brand from the other. It can be exhausting, and even unnecessary sometimes but when a company owned by Sony is offering deals to Xbox owners, it’s definitely something to talk about.

As reported by PSU, one of Sony’s companies, Crunchyroll, is offering a great deal to Xbox right now, although its obvious affiliation with the PlayStation. Crunchyroll was acquired by Funimation which is in turn owned by Sony. Even though there is this chain of connections back, Crunchyroll Premium is coming to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

If you’re paying for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you’ll be able to claim 75 days of Crunchyroll Premium: Mega Fan too, which if you’re unaware, is the go-to platform for a lot of anime in Western countries. The post announcing the collaboration says: “Ultimate members who are new to Crunchyroll Premium will be eligible to claim the 75-day subscription trial through the Perks gallery on their Xbox console, on the Xbox app on Windows PCs, or through the Xbox Game Pass mobile app on iOS and Android. Once the Perk is claimed, members will be directed to the Crunchyroll site to activate their subscription. Make sure you claim this offer by February 8, 2022!”

Watch out though, this is only a deal for new Crunchyroll members and won’t be available to customers in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. But other than that, fire away and get some more freebies. It’s no secret that Xbox Game Pass is one of the best deals in the gaming space consistently. For example, it’s just got one of the best-rated games of the year, Forza Horizon 5 on the platform on its day of release.
