Minor spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home follow - you've been warned!

If you've watched the (first) post-credits scene for Spider-Man: No Way Home, then you'll have some idea of what we can expect from Tom Holland's next outing as the wallcrawler: Symbiote-based action.

2021's massive multiverse adventure ends with Tom Hardy's Venom, having only just arrived in the MCU as part of Doctor Strange's botched spell, being pulled back into his own universe before he can meet Spider-Man.

Disappointing for fans, no doubt. But Venom leaves behind a little present: a tiny dollop of the symbiote now exists in the MCU, and is all but guaranteed to cross paths with Spider-Man in a future movie.

Take a look at our Spider-Man: No Way Home with Tom Holland below!

It seems pretty clear from this post-credits scene that Tom Holland's Spidey will finally have his very own symbiote storyline. Whether or not Tom Hardy returns as Venom for this remains to be seen, but I'm willing to bet my comic book collection that we'll see Spidey in the iconic black suit sooner rather than later.

While this has yet to be confirmed, concept artist Thomas du Crest has shared their take on what Holland's Spider-Man could look like after bonding with the Venom symbiote in a potential Spider-Man 4.

du Crest has worked a ton of Marvel movies, including Avengers Endgame and No Way Home, although they stress the images they've shared are simply their take on what might come next, and should by no means be taken as an official tease.

Personally, I'd be very happy if du Crest's take on the black suit was anything like what we end up getting, because it's gorgeous. Take a look for yourself below.

I love it. After Spider-Man 3 delivered a version of the black suit that was literally just the original Raimi suit spray painted black and grey, I'm ready for a more comic-accurate version of one of the sleekest Spider-Man costumes around. Here's hoping Tom Holland's next movie delivers the goods.
