'Spider-Man: No Way Home' Teaser Finally Shows Off Green Goblin

We’re just over a month away from the theatrical release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the anticipation is beginning to physically hurt me.

Tom Holland’s wall-crawler will face his biggest challenge yet, when a spell gone horribly wrong tears open the multiverse and throws our hero into fights with enemies from past lives. The movie’s first teaser confirmed Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, while hinting at a handful of other villains. Now, the No Way Home poster has landed - and it finally confirms the classic villain we’ve all been waiting to see.

I’m referring, of course, to Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. The nefarious fiend met the business end of his own glider all the way back in Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man. Fortunately, No Way Home’s multiversal antics have allowed for him to return to menace Holland’s version of the character.

You’ll no doubt remember the initial trailer teased us with that iconic laugh and a glimpse of a pumpkin bomb, but the new poster shows the Goblin lurking in the background of the shot. He’s wearing the exact same costume from the Raimi movies, and has managed to get his glider out of storage too. This is our first look at the villain in No Way Home, and absolute confirmation that it is, indeed, him. I was genuinely starting to fear it’d be James Franco instead.

Side note: I know this will never happen, because Sony, but how amazing would it be to see Willem Dafoe's Norman Osborn as the MCU's next big bad? I can dream, I suppose.

Spider-Man: No Way Home swings into theatres December 17. But if anyone at Marvel or Sony would like to go ahead and send me a sneaky copy of the movie now, that’d be awesome. I won’t tell anyone.
