Star Wars Celebration was a busy ol’ time for fans. We had so many updates to keep up with. There was the announcement of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, news on the upcoming season of The Mandalorian, plus the series premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Amidst all that though, Lucasfilm dropped the first teaser for Star Wars: Andor and honestly, it was one of the best trailers Star Wars has put out in years. Well, if that piqued your interest, you’re going to love this news because Star Wars: Andor has now released its first full length trailer - and that’s not all.

Check out the epic new trailer for Star Wars: Andor below.

In addition to giving us a brand new glimpse at the series, we now also know a little bit more about the show’s release plans. Originally, Star Wars: Andor was set to debut on Disney+ on 31 August but the show will now debut on 21 September. That may seem disappointing at first but wait, there’s more. On 21 September, fans will be treated to an epic three-episode premiere to make up for the delay. Cue excited screams.

Star Wars: Andor comprises 12 episodes in total, which following the three-episode premiere, will be released weekly on Disney+. The series is set prior to the events of Rogue One and all being well, the plan is to have a second season which will take the story right up to where Rogue One begins.

Led by Diego Luna’s Andor, the series centres around the formation of a Rebel Alliance amidst the era of the Galactic Empire. Judging by the trailer, Star Wars: Andor looks set to explore much more of the Star Wars universe than we’ve gotten used to as of late, which means we’re finally going to see planets other than Tatooine, yay! Star Wars: Andor also boasts a stellar cast including returning favourite Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, in addition to new stars Stellan Skarsgård and Fiona Shaw. I cannot wait.
