Star Wars Fans Call For "Inappropriate Cut" Of 'Attack Of The Clones' After Natalie Portman Interview

Obi-Wan Kenobi may have drawn to a close but the prequel era hype is still alive and kicking. Just this week, Ewan McGregor commented on the possibility of a second season of the show, whilst a fan made what is perhaps the saddest prequel-inspired project I’ve ever seen - a supercut of Order 66. Back in the day though, you may have missed this intriguing tidbit from Padmé actress Natalie Portman that it was recently unearthed by fans.

Natalie Portman revealed that whilst improvising the Naboo scene with Hayden Christensen in Attack of the Clones, things got “inappropriate very quickly.” The quote was unearthed by fans (via Showbiz CheatSheet) in The Best of Star Wars Insider Volume 8: The Saga Begins, a collection of fan magazines.
Portman said, “I don’t think George [Lucas] was satisfied with the dialogue he had written, because he told Hayden and me to just improvise — which was amusing, because it got inappropriate very quickly. It was a fun scene to shoot, although we felt pretty stupid biting fruit, which didn’t exist, out of the air.”
Shortly after the quote began circulating on Reddit, fans demanded that Lucasfilm release ‘the inappropriate cut,’ joking about what could’ve been said. TheOzman79 wrote, “I’m like sand, baby. I’m rough and I get everywhere,” whilst VikingAethelwulf said, “Nice Naboobies.” MrStrings2006 added, “Is that a lightsaber in your pocket?” I think that’s quite enough speculation over what could’ve been said, you dirty lot.
