This Is How 'Starfield' And 'Fallout' Could Occur In The Same Universe

We’re still waiting on a release date for Starfield but we certainly know more about Bethesda’s upcoming epic than we did a few months ago. The game is due to have over 1,000 explorable planets and Bethesda has promised that Starfield will be a “dream” for modders. What you may not know though, is that Starfield and the Fallout franchise could be set within the same universe. Let me explain.

As discovered by PCGamesN, one subtle detail in the Starfield trailer could link the game with the Fallout franchise. They point out the fact that we know aliens exist within the Fallout universe, specifically referencing the Floaters which appear in Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 76 and were due to feature in Fallout: New Vegas before they were cut.

If you don’t know, Floaters are essentially little floating aliens with rather large heads. Not that that’s important but hey, now you know. Well, PCGamesN suggests that they might be featured in Starfield. The trailer shows a ‘Diseased Metropus Floater’ which bears resemblance to Fallouts’ Floaters convincing some fans that they’re one and the same.

Given the scale of Starfield, it seems plausible that Bethesda would include some Easter eggs referencing their other games and Floaters being aliens, well that fits quite nicely in a space game. If you’re wondering what Metropus in ‘Diseased Metropus Floater’ means, well we don’t know. The word doesn’t exist so it’s safe to assume this could be one of Starfield’s planets. Time will tell.
