Teenage Trans Streamer Allegedly Taken Into Foster Care By Police Mid-Broadcast

Teenage Trans Streamer Allegedly Taken Into Foster Care By Police Mid-Broadcast

There are currently over 30 anti-LGBTQ+ bills being discussed in the States.

A 16-year-old Minecraft streamer was taken away by police mid-stream and reportedly taken into foster care for truancy.

The transgender girl stopped attending school after her school denied her access to the girls’ bathroom. In July 2021, legislation was brought into her state, Tennessee, which only allows people in schools to use the bathroom of the gender they were assigned to at birth. A report by NBC claims:

“Under the bathroom measure, a student, parent or employee could sue in an effort to claim monetary damages ‘for all psychological, emotional, and physical harm suffered’ if school officials allow a transgender person into the bathroom or locker room when others are in there.”

The Twitch streamer then stopped attending school due to her issues concerning the bathrooms. She appeared aware that the police would be coming as on her VOD, which has since been deleted by the platform and reuploaded on YouTube with her permission, as she had propped a chair up against the door, and mentions several times that the state is trying to take her into foster care. She also mentions that she has been adopted previously. You can see the police come in and take her away.

In tweets by trans activist keffals, she claims that the young girl was then taken into foster care by the police for truancy. This story comes at a time when a number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills are being considered or passed in the States. Recently, Florida passed the “Don’t Say Gay” bill which prevents the acknowledgment of non-heterosexual relationships before a minimum of third grade, including queer teachers talking about their spouses, or children talking about queer parents.

Texas is also attempting to bring in new legislation that will re-establish medication and treatment for transgender youths as child-abuse. This is just one of over thirty anti-transgender bills which are attempting to be brought in at state level.
