Three men have been arrested and charged with murder for allegedly breaking into a 19-year-old male’s home and stabbing him to death before leaving with his PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles. The incident took place in Des Moines, Iowa.
Law & Crime reports that Taylor Scott Austin (20), Tyrone Glen Davis (20), and Daniel Fletcher Jackson (18) have been charged with first-degree murder after breaking into the Polk County home of Cory Elifritz. The trio are alleged to have knifed the young man before leaving him for dead while they robbed his home.
Officers were called to the house on October 28, where they found Elifritz lying in a pool of blood having suffered from multiple serious stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, but died soon after.
Officers also discovered that Jackson had made threats to the residents of Elifritz’s home on social media. The attacker appeared to blame them for the arrest of his brother, Witness Donovan Jackson.

KCRG-TV reports that Auston and Davis confessed to police to entering the home through an unlocked door and robbing the place with Jackon. Davis added that he saw a "white face," when he entered the bedroom, and fired a pellet gun four times at the victim.
“Evidence at the scene clearly indicates that the victim was also stabbed repeatedly with a sharp object, and a broken knife was recovered at the scene, with the blade located in the immediate vicinity of the victim and the handle near the front door, where Defendants Austin and Davis described that they had exited the home,” police officers wrote in a report.
KCCI also reports that investigators discovered blood on the seats of a stolen vehicle that could be traced to Austin, Davis, and Jackson.
