Elden Ring was truly the star of the show at The Game Awards last night. Although God of War Ragnarök bagged a whopping six awards, FromSoftware’s open-world behemoth took home the big one and won Game of the Year 2022. Even from its release back in February, I think many of us saw that one coming, and it was definitely a deserved win.
Anyway, in amongst all of Elden Ring’s accolades, a new trailer for The Lords of the Fallen was shown, which, as PCGamesN writes, is a reboot of the 2014 game Lords of the Fallen, but set 1000 years later. The dark fantasy action RPG genuinely looks stunning - according to the devs, its world is going to be over five times bigger than the original game. And, looking at the trailer, one thing is certainly going to spring to mind for a lot of people - it looks a lot like Elden Ring, but with more body horror and blood (and that’s not a bad thing).

The game seems to be quite literally oozing with grotesque enemies to fell - if you already had your fill of the Lands Between and were looking for something else with similar vibes, this definitely looks like a great title to check out.
The Lords of the Fallen is set to release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, but unfortunately, it doesn’t have a release date just yet - we’ll just have to stay tuned for more updates.
