‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 Will See The Return Of A Fan Favourite Sequel Trilogy Character

‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 Will See The Return Of A Fan Favourite Sequel Trilogy Character

A character last seen in The Rise of Skywalker is set to feature in The Mandalorian's third season.

Season two of The Mandalorian premiered back in October of 2020. I’ll admit that I didn’t realise that it had been that long, doesn’t time fly?

Thankfully, both Mando and Grogu graced our screens during this year’s The Book of Boba Fett which has certainly helped bridge the gap in addition to nicely setting up The Mandalorian’s third season. As announced at Star Wars Celebration, the series will return in February 2023 and this season will see Mando journey back to Mandalore.

Before The Mandalorian drops its next season, we’ve got Star Wars: Andor to look forward to. Take a look at the trailer before the series premieres on 31 August.

As excited as we are to see our favourite space dad and his adorable green son return to our screens, another Star Wars fan-favourite is making a return … Babu Frik. The cute yet hilarious droidsmith first appeared back in 2019’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker where the scene stealer helped extract a Sith message from C-3PO’s memory.

The news was confirmed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni during The Mandalorian’s Star Wars Celebration panel, and a small snippet of exclusive footage was shown to fans in attendance. All I’m saying is that Grogu and Babu Frik better meet. I need to know what happens when these two tiny Star Wars kings come face to face.

This is just one of many exciting announcements to come out of the annual Star Wars fan event. It’s also been revealed that Liam Neeson is reprising his role as Qui-Gon Jinn, and Respawn Entertainment dropped the first trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor which fans are already dissecting. It’s a good time to be a Star Wars fan.
