Storytelling is a true art form regardless of the medium, whether it be novels, TV, movies or video games. Any form of entertainment can make or break depending on the quality of the story it is telling.
One development studio that can be considered a master of storytelling is Telltale Games. Sadly, Telltale Games ceased to exist in October 2018 but thankfully was revived just months later by LCG Entertainment.

When the studio was saved, all of its intellectual properties were retained which meant the likes of The Walking Dead, Batman: The Telltale Series, Minecraft: Story Mode and The Wolf Among Us could still be enjoyed by everyone. Well, apart from Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series which is no longer available to buy digitally, but you might find retail copies floating about somewhere.

Telltale Games is a prime example of the ‘choose your own adventure’ formula with your choices changing the course of your story. Though some could argue that the end result will always result in at least two predetermined conclusions. Regardless, for me at least, no matter the outcome, it was always about how you get there. For example, I won’t give anything away, the conclusion of Telltale’s The Walking Dead season one broke me in floods of tears (if you know, you know).
Released in 2013, arguably Telltale Games' best title is The Wolf Among Us. Much like other stories told by the developer, The Wolf Among Us is a comic book adaptation but is inspired by fairytale fables presented in its signature, comic book-esque cel-shaded visuals.
For some, The Wolf Among Us is the pinnacle of Telltale Games’ art of storytelling and users on Reddit have been sharing their love for the title. “10/10 for linear storytelling,” said mydixxierect2 kicking off the discussion.

“I agree, The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead season one was its best games, with an awesome story in both of the titles,” replied lilarcor. “Way better than the story arc from the comics,” added seriouslywtfX2 with anjthecoomdoom sharing much of the same sentiment, saying “The best Telltale game.”
Fans of The Wolf Among Us will be pleased to know that a sequel is on the way, which was intended to release this year. However, the sequel was recently delayed to ensure the quality of the game met standards and to protect the health of the developers by avoiding crunch hours.
