This Guy Plays Games Upside Down And Is Probably Better Than You

Watch streamer Roopz play everything from FPS to FromSoftware and all with his controller the wrong way.

When watching Twitch, there are a huge number of streamers doing feats which boggle the mind. Firstly, there are speedrunners, who finish games you've probably spent months struggling through in a matter of hours. Then there are challenge runners who attempt things like running through the whole Dark Souls series without ever getting hit. Or those who play mods of Pokémon where they don't gain any experience.

Then there are the plethora of amazing disabled gamers, like HalfCoordinated, who used to speedrun games like NieR Automata with just one hand. Or HanDcapable Sean who has most recently been plugging away at Elden Ring with only an adaptive controller and his chin. Some people don't choose to take on a challenge, and they aren't physically restricted either. Some people just end up playing with the controller upside down their whole lives.

You can check out Roopz and his upside down controller in the video below.

Streamer Roopz didn't set out with the intention of learning how to play games with the controller the wrong way. Instead, it is just how he's always held it. He says the only thing which is stopping him from playing with his controller the "correct" way, is that he doesn't see the point in fixing it. His muscle memory is so ingrained in playing with the controller this way, it is now much harder for him to turn it around.

He plays fighting games, FPS, and even those dastardly FromSoftware games all with the buttons where they shouldn't be. That means his left and right, up and down are all inverted the whole time he plays. He also has to hit things like bumpers and triggers with his pinkies. Through it all though, what makes him entertaining is that despite not knowing the pointy bits go at the bottom he is still really rather good.
