You Can Claim Three Free Games Right Now, Here's How

Great news for anyone procrastinating from finishing that one massive open-world game that they keep saying they’ll get round to, but never do. Come on, we all know it’s not going to happen - just accept it. Let the backlog take it.

If you’re still in denial (or just want to add to that backlog further), you’ve now got the perfect excuse. As reported by VG247, you can currently get three PC titles completely free from the Epic Games Store, and all you need is an account.

Spoiler alert for one of your freebies - take a look at the trailer for Hood: Outlaws & Legends below.

The first of our delightful trio is Hood: Outlaws & Legends, an action-packed multiplayer title: “Faced with a merciless, unchecked state, rebels and rogues battle to claim their place among legends,” the synopsis reads. “To win influence with an oppressed people, rival gangs compete in daring heists to hit the wealthy where it hurts. Folk hero or gold-hungry outlaw, only the best will escape with hard-earned riches.”

You might remember that Hood: Outlaws & Legends was one of the free monthly titles offered on PS Plus back in April, so if you missed that then (or would just prefer to play on PC), now’s a great opportunity to pick it up.

Next up, we have Geneforge 1: Mutagen, an indie RPG title from Spiderweb Software, which describes itself as “a unique, truly open-ended fantasy adventure in a strange, new world”. This one sounds genuinely fascinating - how you play is completely up to you. Apparently, you can fight in basically any way (or not at all), and even switch sides and choose to side with the final boss, if you’re feeling a bit chaotic. If any of that sounds like fun, be sure to check it out.

Finally, there’s Iratus: Lord of the Dead, a turn-based tactical roguelike RPG in which you’ll “lead an army of undead to help an angry necromancer in his quest to reach the surface world and bring death to the mortal realms”. Who wouldn’t want to do that?

You can grab all three of these games totally free until 7 July, so next Thursday. Once you’ve claimed them, they’re yours forever, so be sure to get in on this sweet deal while you can, right here.
