'Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint' Is Free To Play This Week

And that includes new campaign mode: Operation Motherland

You’d be forgiven if you hadn’t yet picked up Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. The FPS was released back in 2019 with very little fanfare and interest in the game quickly dissolved with the arrival of Call of Duty: Warzone, for example. However Ubisoft has been working hard to revive the game with an entirely new campaign, and if you’re not interested in paying to try it out, well we have news for you.

According to PSU, the Tom Clancy title is going to be free to play this weekend. From November 4 to 7, you’ll be able to get stuck into the original gameplay of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint as well as the entirely new campaign. That’s a lot of content for a few days, so maybe you’ll want to clear your schedule.

Here is the trailer for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint’s new campaign: Operation Motherland

This is all about celebrating Ubisoft’s 35th birthday, a nice little reward for supporting them as one of the biggest developers on the planet. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who plays games a lot that hasn’t played an Ubisoft game from Assassin’s Creed to Tom Clancy to Far Cry. It’s an impressive legacy.

You can look at the graphic below to see when and where your region can begin pre-loading the game so you can hop in as it goes live. Additionally, you’ll be able to see the times at which the offer will expire.

If you’re loading up Ghost Recon: Breakpoint this weekend then you may want to try out the new campaign, Operation Motherland. The devs have just added an entirely new way to play which is about taking back control of the island with methodical missions, taking out the lieutenants in your way. It features new enemies, new story elements, and seems like it may be more enjoyable than the original campaign.
