Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill reunite as Batman and Joker for final DC project

Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill reunite as Batman and Joker for final DC project

Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will be reunited one last time in a new DC movie

Legendary DC actors Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will be making one last triumphant return together in an animated movie.

In November 2022, beloved actor, and the voice of Batman and Bruce Wayne for a legion of fans across multiple generations, Kevin Conroy sadly passed away aged 66. From Batman: The Animated Series to Rocksteady Studios’ Batman Arkham franchise, at least in terms of animation and video games, there is only one Caped Crusader, and that’s Kevin Conroy.

Without the Joker, arguably the Batman character may never have become as popular as he is today and vice versa. Much like Kevin Conroy, for millions of fans, the best version of the Clown Prince is the one featured in Batman: The Animated Series and the Batman Arkham franchise, played by Star Wars legend, Mark Hamill.

It was initially believed that Kevin Conroy’s last role as the Dark Knight was in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Thank god, that’s not the case because Conroy and Hamill are reuniting for one last time.

The duo will be reunited in Part Three of the new DC animated movie series, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths. “The Anti-Monitor (the Monitor's evil counterpart) is released into the DC Multiverse and begins to destroy the different Earths that compose it. The Monitor attempts to recruit heroes from across the Multiverse to fight back,” reads the synopsis of Part One.

It’s still sad to think this is Kevin Conroy’s last outing as Batman but it’s also fitting that his last gig is being reunited with Mark Hamill’s Joker once more in a DC animation, and we wouldn't want it any other way.

Part One and Part Two of Crisis on Infinite Earths are available now digitally. At the time of writing Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three does not have a release date but it is scheduled to be released at some point this year. All three parts will be released in physical form at a later date.
