Venom 3 first teaser shared by Tom Hardy

Venom 3 first teaser shared by Tom Hardy

Venom is back, baby!

It’s happening! This is not a drill, I repeat, it’s happening: Venom 3’s first teaser has been shared by Tom Hardy and we’re not okay.

As much as we love Spider-Man, we all have a soft spot for Marvel’s Venom. When this love surpassed Spidey I cannot say, as we all realised our devotion at different stages, but we worship at the Venom altar all the same.

If you've not seen Venom in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, you need to check it out right now!

We all knew that a third Venom film was happening, but with the SAG strikes it made specifics a little difficult to pin down. But now that the strikes have ended, Hardy is back playing the role of Eddie Brock alongside the familiar faces of the cast and crew.

The teaser was shared on Instagram by the actor, in which a touching black and white picture sits alongside a long caption about Hardy’s joy at being back doing what he loves. It reads, “I want to take a moment just to thank all the teams thus far on the ride from V to here, all our fantastic cast and crew – good friends and family. We’ve come a long way - it’s been and continues to be a lot of fun. This journey, there’s always hard turns to burn when we work but doesn’t feel as hard when you love what you do and when you know you have great material and the support at all sides, of a great team.”

Out of character for Venom, but we’re touched by the emotion Hardy speaks with. Of course, as happy as we are to see Venom returning to the silver screen, we’re also keen to learn more about the Venom spin-off game Marvel teased. I think it’s fair to say that Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is nothing short of incredible – to see that creation in its own game would be a fantastic experience for gamers.
