Stranger Things 5 teaser sends fans wild

Stranger Things 5 teaser sends fans wild

It's happening – the finale season of the hit show has started production!

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for, confirmation that Stranger Things 5 has started production. After the cliffhanger of season four, fans have been eager to see what will become of Hawkins as the final showdown between the Upside Down and the town commences.

Netflix has marked the occasion by releasing a behind the scenes cast photo, a photo that has gone viral thanks to the overexcitement of the fandom. As excited as we are, though, we’re too busy realising just how much the cast has grown up since the very first season back in 2016.

Remember Stranger Things 4 Volume 2? It's time for a refresher if you don't!

Most of the cast will be familiar to you, but there’s one face that may surprise those who missed the news: Linda Hamilton has joined. Best known for her role in The Terminator franchise, Hamilton is an incredible actress who will undoubtedly make whatever role she’s been given her own. Despite not knowing anything about her character, we know that she’ll portray a badass, as per usual.

Although seeing the famous TV cast back together is thrilling, some fans are more interested in the music that’ll no doubt dominate the charts after we being used in the show. As one fan put it, “At this exact moment there's at least ten ageing musicians on their knees praying to their God for Stranger Things to prominently use their 80s song in the final season.”

Besides that, we’re all just wondering what will happen, specifically whether Eleven will make it; there are some among the fans who believe it’s only fitting that the character dies in the finale. “I'm hoping (from a storytelling angle) Eleven dies,” they explained. “She opened the rift, and she should die closing it. I don't really want her to die, but I think it'd lead to the best ending.”

Perhaps such an ending will enable the now dethroned show to get back on top as the most watched on Netflix...?

As far as a finale goes, I’m fine with Eleven dying, just please save Hopper. That’s all I care about.
