These 'Fallout 5' teasers are absolutely gorgeous

Prime Video’s upcoming Fallout TV show has been described as “almost like Fallout 5” by co-showrunner Jonathan Nolan - and we’ve just got a fresh glimpse at its stars.

While it’s not Fallout 5 itself, Nolan seems to claim that the show is the next best thing. In an interview with Total Film, Nolan spoke on the show’s originality: “From the first conversation with Todd [Howard], we were most excited about an original story. Each of the games is a discrete story – different city, distinct protagonist – within the same mythology. Our series sits in relation to the games as the games sit in relation to each other.”

He continued, “It's almost like we're Fallout 5. I don't want to sound presumptuous, but it's just a non-interactive version of it, right?” I see the logic here. While we’ve got a tad longer to wait until Fallout drops, Prime did just release a stunning series of character posters.

As marketing ramps up for the show, a selection of character posters have surfaced online showcasing three of the series’ central figures. The first is Walton Goggins’ The Ghoul. I wish I could provide more information on this fella but at this point in time, that’s all we have to go on with Prime and Bethesda keeping tight-lipped on what’s in store for him.

The second poster highlights the character of Lucy, played by Ella Purnell. We know that Lucy is one of the characters who will emerge from the show’s Vault 33. The third and final poster features Maximus, a member of the Brotherhood of Steel portrayed by Aaron Moten.

The series will also star Moises Arias, Johnny Pemberton, and Kyle MacLachlan, amongst others. We’ve had a run of stellar game adaptations between The Last of Us, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Twisted Metal. Could Fallout continue the trend? We certainly hope so.
