Twitch steamer stalked by hooded man for hours during livestream

A popular Twitch streamer recently faced a harrowing event during one of their livestreams, when she discovered she was being followed by someone.

Twitch user Jinnytty was streaming her latest travels in Taiwan to her viewers when it was noted that a strange man was seemingly following her around. Jinny had been streaming for hours, yet the same person repeatedly appeared next to her several times, prompting concern from both herself and fans.

The man in question was wearing all-black clothing, with a hood covering his head and a face mask obscuring most of his face. Even more bizarrely, the unknown man hid in a bush at one point, presumably to avoid detection, only to quickly emerge and continue following once Jinny had set off again.

After a few hours, Jinny stopped and notified police, explaining the distressing situation and asking them to prevent the stranger from continuing to follow her. Police acted quickly, and Jinny was free to continue her travelling, before setting down in a restaurant to continue her stream in peace.

Speaking to her viewers after the distressing encounter, she praised the Taiwanese authorities, stating: “The police officers were really helpful, they made sure that I’m safe. They detained the guy so he cannot follow anymore. So I was relieved afterward.”

The mysterious person never re-appeared, most likely due to the police interference, but it’s now known that he was eventually detained and institutionalised after becoming aggressive. Jinny found this out through a news channels in Taiwan, and it’s safe to say she was more than relieved.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the only instance where a Twitch streamer has faced danger from a stalker, with an example being Amouranth who recently faced a similar level of harassment from a stalker attempting to break-in to her house. Luckily, Jinny is undeterred by this event, and is still going ahead with her travels in Taiwan, which she refers to as her ‘Waddlethon’ as she’s planning to walk through the entire country.
