US Senator Blames Video Games And Porn On Feminism

Sounds like a win for feminism if you ask me

United States Senator Josh Hawley has some strong opinions about the so-called “war on men”. In a lengthy speech given during the National Conservatism Conference earlier this week, the Republican said that feminism is driving men to porn and video games. Sounds like a win for feminism if you ask me.

“Responsibility is one of God’s greatest gifts to mankind, and men must be held responsible for their actions,” Hawley said (via Kotaku). “Still, can we be surprised that after years of being told they are the problem, that their manhood is the problem, more and more men are withdrawing into the enclave of idleness, and pornography, and video games?”

Take a look at some of the best GTA V wins and fails below. Apparently a video that would never have been possible unless feminists have driven us to it.

Leaving aside the fact that porn and video games are awesome, Hawley went on to paint a bleak vision of the future in which men being asked to be slightly better than complete shit causes a mass exodus of lads from higher education and, as a result, the working world.

“I found the comment by one young man to the Wall Street Journal particularly evocative, and particularly heartbreaking,” Hawley said, in reference to this piece about an Ohio man who dropped out of college.

Hawley proposes we end the war on men by creating more manufacturing and creating new tax incentives for getting married. I’m not sure that’ll stop blokes from spending all night on Red Dead Redemption 2, pausing only occasionally to give themselves some self love by the pale glow of their laptop, but whatever. I have no horse in this race. I would, however, like to thank feminism for all the video games and porn. I was wondering where it all came from.
