Warzone 2 players have been using the proximity chat for yet more chaos, this time luring enemies into deadly traps.
Ever since Warzone’s highly anticipated sequel released, Call of Duty players have been making the most of proximity chat. And by making the most of it, that’s ranged from roleplaying as Uber drivers to turning off other players’ consoles via voice command. It's one way to secure a win, I guess.

Now though, one DMZ player on Reddit has come up with an incredible way of bamboozling enemies using the feature, and it works hilariously well. By playing the revive sound, ZappaBeefheart was able to bait two unsuspecting foes into walking straight to their doom - take a look below.
Others have been praising the ingenuity: “Holy s**t this is the smartest thing I seen on the subreddit so far. I'm actually stealing this idea. OP I appreciate you,” wrote one. “Deception is one of the first things you learn about in military strategy. Entire chapters dedicated to it in combat manuals. This post is brilliant. Well played,” said another. “Devs wanted a tactical game so this should be totally a valid way to use proximity chat,” another agreed.

In the thread, OP revealed that when they want enemies to get away from them, they play the “enemy UAV overhead” sound, which is also genius. Definitely don’t trust all the audio cues you hear in the game going forward, because it looks like this could end up taking off.
It makes you wonder if the devs imagined people would end up using tricks like this when they implemented the feature. Maybe they just wanted to see more funny clips pop up on Reddit, which is perfectly valid, honestly.
