Watch 13 Minutes Of New 'Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Gameplay

We've just got our longest chunk of Legends: Arceus gameplay footage yet, and there's a lot to be excited about.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus releases on 28 January, and there’s a lot to be excited about. In a brand new video released on the official Pokémon YouTube channel, we’ve got our longest chunk of gameplay footage yet, and it looks amazing.

While most of the footage here is covering stuff we already knew, the video has given us a bit more of an in-depth look at certain aspects, including the battling mechanics, and catching Pokémon. Check it out below...

One thing that’s clear in the footage is how lifelike the different Pokémon have been made to feel thanks to their different temperaments. The more carefree Bidoof doesn’t run or attack the player in any way when approached, whereas flocks of Starly immediately take flight if you don’t sneak up on them quietly.

The video has also shown the 'requests' system in a bit more depth. While we already knew that we’ll be able to take on a number of extra side-quests beyond the main story, the new footage has shown that these don’t just play out like simple box ticking exercises. The residents who give you the requests all seem to have reasons for the things they’re asking of you, and when the tasks are fulfilled, will have even more to say to the player about it, which hopefully will help give the various NPCs scattered around Jubilife Village a bit more personality than they usually do in the mainline games. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Act fast and you can also pre-order the game from Curry’s right now for just £38 - check out the details here. If you weren’t already sure about getting it, it’s a pretty sweet deal - you won't want to miss it.
