‘Forza Horizon 5’ Has 800,000 Players And It’s Not Even Out Yet

Talk about a shift in gear.

What a stormer. Forza Horizon 5 is boasting a player base of over 800,000 people from across the globe and the kicker is, it’s not even launched yet.

Dean thought the new Forza was the best thing since sliced bread, and if you know Dean, you know he’s partial to beans on toast, so this is one heck of a statement from him. Set in Mexico, players cruise through the rainforests, put the pedal to the metal in arid deserts and tear through the sleepy streets of its towns.

“Each environment is absolutely stunning and unique, and you can feel how certain cars perform much better depending on the area that you’re driving in, making you truly appreciate the power behind those wheels,” said Dean in his review (which you can read right here).

Yes, it’s gone down a treat with players of all stripes and Forza Horizon 5 is sitting pretty at the top of OpenCritic’s chart for the highest-rated releases of 2021. The game comes out for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Series S on November 9th. However, if you opted to fork out a little more for the Premium Edition, you got early access to Forza Horizon 5 as well as the Welcome Pack, Car Pass, VIP Membership and two DLCs once they release.

SnapBlastPlay on Twitter has been meticulously monitoring the total player count in the game in the hours since it went live for premium players. In the evening of November 5th, there were about 640,000 players zipping from corner to corner in this massive map. The statistic has slowly yet surely trickled up and up and now there are over 800,000 players enjoying every inch of Forza Horizon 5

Three days til the game is officially out and it’s drawing in the crowds like it’s a self-slicing bread machine. You’ve got to hand it to Playground Games.
