Xbox Is Surprising Users With Free Store Credit

Check your emails

I’m fully aware this sounds like a huge scam, but just bear with me: Microsoft is surprising random Xbox users with up to $100 of store credit - and all you need to do is send me your credit card details to be in with a chance to win.

I’m kidding, obviously. Well, about the second part anyway - the first part is absolutely true. Unfortunately, the actual chances of being one of the users to receive the free credit seem fairly slim right now.

Take a look at the gorgeous Forza Horizon 5 in action below!

As shared by Wario64 on Twitter, various Xbox users are being sent emails with free gift cards for Microsoft Store credit. Most are getting around $10, but some have reported receiving as much as $100. At the time of writing it remains unclear if there’s any link between the users receiving credit, or if you need to have done anything special to be eligible.

“Check your emails,” Wario64 wrote. “Microsoft Store is sending emails to random users with up to $100 gift card. Subject title: "Here’s $100 to start your holiday shopping"

Assuming it is purely random, you might want to check your emails now and see if you’ve got a little surprise waiting for you. $10 might not be much in the grand scheme of things, but it’ll net you some neat cosmetics in an online game like Fortnite or Call Of Duty: Warzone. And if you’re one of the lucky few who gets $100? Well, that’ll go a much longer way. You could treat yourself to a brand-new game… or spend the whole thing on pointless cosmetics in an online game and ultimately learn to hate yourself for your decision. Up to you!
