"Please Do Not Blow Vape Smoke Into Your Xbox Series X", Says Microsoft

Microsoft really wants you to know that under any circumstances, you should not, and we repeat, you should not blow vape into your Xbox Series X. After a wave of rumours since the release of the console on November 10, reports of smoking Xbox's have been popping up around the internet - and surprise surprise, these reports are all likely bogus.

We've already reported on the situation at hand. It's a case of videos and images appearing that show smoke rising out of the console as if it was on fire, but there are a couple of suspicious aspects to these allegations. One, Xbox hasn't had to pull stock or make announcements potentially dangerous units. Two, electric fires don't look like that, in fact, that smoke looks like a vape cloud doesn't it?

Well as we've previously reported Xbox Studio on Twitter, an Xbox news account, has shown how easy it is to make it look like the Xbox is smoking by blowing vape smoke into the air input of the console. Even when the Xbox Series X is powering down, the fan will continue to pull air through the machine for a little while so smoke can look like it's rising out of the console.

As a result, Xbox has had to officially tell us all to not blow vape into the Xbox Series X. "We can't believe we have to say this, but please do not blow vape smoke into your Xbox Series X" reads the tweet. Then it's followed up by "For any non-vape related support questions please check out the info" for the official Xbox Support.

Seems simple now doesn't it? Just don't blow smoke into your Xbox Series X and then smoke won't billow out of it. Not to mentioning blowing what is a lot of moisture even if it's in the form of a cloud into an electronic machine, is just a really bad idea full stop.
