GTA 6 leak confirms one of Red Dead Redemption 2's best features

GTA 6 leak confirms one of Red Dead Redemption 2's best features

We'd love to see this feature in GTA 6!

It’s Monday morning and you know what that means? It means that it’s a fresh week of Grand Theft Auto VI news and rumours.

It’s been nearly two years since Rockstar Games announced that GTA VI was in development, and it’s baffling to this very day that we know next to nothing about the highly anticipated next entry. This is why some believed that Rockstar Games made the announcement as an attempt to damage control the infamous gameplay leaks.

Check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer below!

Other than those gameplay leaks which look to be from a very early build of the game, we’ve had to make do with seemingly endless speculation with nothing concrete to chew on. The most notable of rumours suggest that we will be taken back to the Miami-inspired location of Vice City, home of the iconic 2002 game, it will also feature two playable characters named Jason and Lucia, inspired by the historic crime duo, Bonnie and Clyde.

More recently, a Redditor by the name of Denso95, kindly compiled a list of all the previous rumours into one handy destination. Some of those details included the return of UFOs, shopping malls, players being mugged by NPCs and much more. It also included details that suggested the controversial torture scene from GTA V will be making a return.

Well, Denso95 is back with another Reddit list of handy compiled details once more. Again, just like the previous list, this one is massive, so we won’t be including every little detail, but we will pick out some of the highlights.

Previously there have been rumours that GTA VI might command a whopping file size of 750GB. However, Denso95 believes that the true number will be far less substantial. That being said, you’re still going to need to reserve a lot of storage space to make way for GTA VI. Denso95 believes that the dev build that was used in the infamous gameplay leaks may have been around 80GB, but the file size at release might be just under 200GB.

What’s more, underwater aiming with free movement might be coming to GTA VI. If you commit a robbery, the cops won’t be alerted immediately, perhaps more like in real life it will take a few moments before law enforcement is dispatched. Players will be able to stay in hotels and inns, the Mambas sports team from GTA: Vice City is returning, both playable characters will have a shared inventory and more.

Furthermore, it is also speculated that Grand Theft Auto VI will see the return of one of Red Dead Redemption’s best features and that will be rideable horses. If true, this would be the first time that rideable horses will be in a GTA game. However, it is speculated that horses were cut from GTA V.

Obviously, it’s worth keeping in mind that all of the above details are unconfirmed rumours so we should take them with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. Regardless, it’s all quite exciting nonetheless.

Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to have a release date sometime between 2024 to 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
