GTA 6's engine blows fans away with unreal physics and weather effects

The GTA 6 physics and weather effects will apparently blow fans away!

GTA VI isn't even out yet, but that hasn't stopped an endless stream of leaks and rumours flooding the internet over the last year or so.

In fact, when I say GTA VI isn't even out yet, we’ve not even seen officially released gameplay (only those infamous gameplay leaks) and we’ve had to rely to speculation from the community. This is despite the fact that developer Rockstar Games announced in February 2022 that GTA VI is in production.

Check out our GTA VI round-up video below!

To be honest, it’s difficult keeping up with all the speculation that crawls from beneath the woodwork on a daily basis and most certainly, it’s proving to be a challenge of what’s genuine and what’s not. So with that in mind, we should always take rumours and leaks with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise, especially when it concerns GTA VI.

The latest rumour is courtesy of the French website, Rockstar Mag and it relates to Rockstar Games’ updated RAGE Engine. The RAGE Engine was used in 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2. However, considering that GTA VI is expected to be a PC and new-gen console game only, fans are expecting a massive upgrade.

The report from Rockstar Mag suggests that the in-game physics such as vehicle crashes and dynamic weather effects will be enough to blow fans away. “Many improvements have been made to vehicle physics thanks to a significant increase in the number of polygons compared to GTA V,” the report claims. “This will allow for more precise deformations, and therefore by extension, more realistic accidents.”

However, when it comes to the dynamic weather it seems that Rockstar Games has paid no expense to make GTA VI look and feel as realistic as possible.

“The gusts will damage the vegetation and create waves which will disrupt the peace and quiet of beach occupants. Rain and wind will impact your handling while travelling at high speed. Sunrises and sunsets will be more realistic than ever and nights more disturbing,” it is claimed.

Hopefully, Rockstar Games will not only announce a release date in the coming months, but with a bit of luck we might actually see GTA VI in action which includes the rumoured physics and dynamic weather effects.

Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
