A compilation video has appeared over on Reddit that seems to show some of the more unique moments that can occur in Red Dead Redemption 2, one of which being an unfortunate death. The video shows off several features and mechanics securing Red Dead Redemption 2 as being a game full of secrets and surprises.
After the opening clip in which an NPC is forced to surrender and gunpoint, something not many people knew could happen, we see an ordinary household dog rush the player and bite them to death. That’s right, they’re killed by a regular doggo - not a very good boy.

Or, it could be seen that the dog was the “ultimate good boy” as one Redditor says, because he defended his owner to the fullest. There were also some thanks given by another user who said “Thank you for not killing the dog.” Apparently, this was a feature in GTAV also as someone points out, “Dogs protecting their owners started in GTA 5 too. I've tested it by hitting someone who was hiking and then their dog attacked me. I let it continue and I got tackled and then killed.”

Other features shown in the video are the ability to push and pull NPCs using button inputs, or how if you tackle a target while they’re in water, they automatically drown. It seems a lot of players were unaware of these features and are eagerly starting new playthroughs or returning to the game in order to try some of the tips.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has always been held up as a game that features so many small details it’s hard to notice them all. Rockstar Games are known for fleshing out their games to ludicrous lengths and it’s great to see that they can still surprise players even after a game has been in the wild for years.
