However, it seems that wasn’t the case as a new TV series, possibly starring the cast both old and new, has been announced by Paramount+. The boys have cleaned up their act over the years. Despite Steve-O admitting to being on some of the worst drug binges in his life in the old days of filming, Bam Magera was fired from the set of Forever for breaking his “wellness agreement”. While the movie was drug free, it didn’t mean the stunts were any less brutal. Johnny Knoxville suffered a brain haemorrhage while filming after a sturdy hit from an raging bull.

If you are a fan of Jackass, you can see our interview with Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O in the video below.

As spotted by The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Global CEO, Bob Bakish, talked about a new series of Jackass with an analyst on Tuesday (3 May). “Based off the success of Jackass Forever, we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+.”

While few details have been officially revealed the majority of the members who featured in the recent film have previously said they would love to return for the new series. The exception is Knoxville who has announced his retirement from stunt work following the above incident.

“I did slip into a little bit of a depression with this last concussion. That hasn’t happened before. My brain was just playing tricks on me. I got really depressed and over-focused on things. I did have to start medication for the first time in my life. It completely turned me around - that and doing therapy. It was a really hard recovery from this last injury, but I’m great now. I feel like I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been.”
