An Instagram model has come under fire for appearing to make light of Twitch streamer Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa's recent domestic abuse claims.
For those who might not be aware, Siragusa recently took to Twitch to claim that she's been trapped in an abusive relationship for some time. Siragusa outlined the alleged abuse she has suffered at the hands of her husband, who remains unnamed. She claims that, among other things, he forced her to stream, pretend she was single, and had full access to and control of her finances and social media channels.

Since her distressing stream earlier this month, Siragusa has managed to seek out emotional and legal counsel, and plans to take an indefinite hiatus from Twitch.
Unfortunately, one Instagram model made a major error in judgement in attempting to frame Siragusa's situation in a humorous way. As you can imagine, this didn't go down too well.
Ellie Rae shared a series of pictures of herself on Twitter dressed as Amouranth, which in itself seems fairly harmless. However, the caption read: “If I stop streaming for the simps he teaches me a lesson."
The original tweets have since been deleted, but not before being screenshotted and shared across social media.
The tweet has been widely condemned, with users bashing the so-called joke as "distasteful", "grim", and even "pure evil".

"Using someone else’s trauma to gain clout on the internet is disgraceful," one user summed up.
Outside of deleting the tweets, Ellie Rae doesn't appear to have acknowledged the backlash in any way.
