'Star Wars: Andor' Already Has A Higher Critical Score Than 'Rogue One’

Andor's first three episodes are out on Disney+ now, and its reviews have been very positive.

A very happy Star Wars: Andor day to all those who celebrate. At long last, the first three episodes of the latest Star Wars Disney+ series are here - the show follows Cassian Andor’s exploits as he “embarks on a path to turn him into a rebel hero”. Yes, we might all know where his journey ends, but that doesn’t make the route to get there any less interesting.

We had the chance to sit down with Diego Luna to talk all things Andor - check out our interview below.

Yesterday, critic reviews hit the internet, and they've been overwhelming positive. In fact, at the time of writing, over on Rotten Tomatoes, the show already has a higher critic score than Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. That’s right - with an 87% rating, Andor narrowly takes the win from Rogue One’s 84% score. Andor’s audience score is a notably lower at 71%, as opposed to Rogue One’s 86%, but it’s still pretty dang good. The show has also scored higher than both Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Book of Boba Fett on both critic and audience ratings, which I’m sure some Star Wars fans will be relieved to hear.

In her review, GAMINGbible’s very own Kate praised Andor as “Star Wars at its very best”. She said: “A compelling and twisting drama that utilises the vast Star Wars universe to elevate what is already an extremely gripping plot. Stellar performances solidify Andor as Disney Plus’ best Star Wars show to date, and fans of Rogue One will not be disappointed by what is a worthy prequel.”
