Assassin’s Creed collides with Ghost Of Tsushima in your next gaming obsession

Fans of Ghost of Tsushima and the Assassin’s Creed series should keep their eyes on an upcoming martial arts inspired adventure RPG guaranteed to be your next gaming obsession.

With Dragon’s Dogma 2 currently filling in that need for a massive open-world RPG, there will come a time when you will crave another and that is where Where Winds Meet comes in. Developed by Everstone Studio, this martial arts RPG was first announced during the 2023 Tokyo Game Show and it is safe to say that it captured quite a few interests.

Check out the Where Winds Meet reveal trailer below!

With combat likened to Ghost of Tsushima and an open-world beyond what you would see in an Assassin’s Creed title, Where Winds Meet now has an 18-minute demo which gives us some insight into the game’s character customisation, exploration, combat and those dreaded boss fights.

Although we don’t know too much about the game’s story, we do know from developers that it will take place during a time of unrest with our hero "forged in a time of chaos". In an interesting turn of events, how we play will be up to us with choices between becoming a doctor who can save the world or a merchant focused on accumulating wealth can impact the story.

Developers also claim that Where Winds Meet’s combat is integral to the story with it playing a “key role”. Additionally, players can adapt combat to their playstyle with “Wuxia skills, attacks, and counter attacks playing a major role". This will come in handy for some of the boss fights teased in the demo.

There is not currently a release window for this upcoming RPG but with fans already excited to experience a game likened to Ghost of Tsushima with the history found in Assassin’s Creed, it looks set to be quite a popular release.
