Assassin's Creed Infinity 'Welcome To Persia' trailer shows off stunning open world

Assassin's Creed Infinity 'Welcome To Persia' trailer shows off stunning open world

One of the best fan trailers we've ever seen

There are a ton of Assassin's Creed projects currently cooking at Ubisoft, to the point that it can be quite hard to keep track of them all.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage the next up, of course. This back-to-basics adventure launches in October and promises really return to those stealth-action roots in a shorter, more focused adventure.

Looking slightly further ahead, we also have Codename Red, a new adventure set in feudal Japan, and Codename Hexe, which looks very much like it could be focused on the Salem witch trials. As many fans have pointed out, this would be perfect time to have a canonical female protagonist again.

With reports that Ubisoft intends to really double down on Assassin's Creed in the next few years, it's clear that the games mentioned above are the tip of the iceberg.

While we wait to see where Ubisoft takes us next, one talented fan has gone to the effort of imagining a stunning new adventure set in Persia. I mean, given the recent news that the actual Prince Of Persia remake is in the ninth circle of development hell right now, someone might as well give us a Persia-flavoured adventure.

YouTuber TeaserPlay has put together a trailer for Assassin's Creed Infinity that takes players on a journey through Persia in 650 CE. For those who can't keep up with all the Assassin's Creed news, Infinity is yet another in-development project from Ubisoft which aims to serve as some kind of hub between different experiences and eras - meaning a trip to Persia isn't out of the question.

Anyway, you can check out TeaserPlay's incredible effort below!

"As an Iranian, it's greatly appreciated to see an Iranian concept," enthused one fan. "You put emphasis on nice landmarks like Kurosh's Tomb and Parsa."

GAMINGbible has previously written about how amazing it would be to see Assassin's Creed tackle Persia and, given the enthusiasm around this concept, we'd imagine it won't be long until Ubisoft makes the dream a reality.
