Assassin's Creed Valhalla free download available to claim now

Assassin's Creed Valhalla players can now grab the Bifrost Bundle for free from the Animus store.

Gather around, my Assassin’s Creed Valhalla loving friends. It’s a universal fact that we all love a freebie, and Valhalla fans are just now discovering a free download that you’re definitely not going to want to miss out on.

It’s an exciting time to be an Assassin’s Creed fan. At last month’s PlayStation Showcase, we got our first look at Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s gameplay - and it looks like a return to form for the franchise. Mirage is set to feature stealth-based gameplay, and a much smaller map than other recent series entries. We should hear much more about the future of the franchise soon as next week’s Ubisoft Forward. We know that we’re due to hear more about Codename Jade and Nexus VR. Hopefully, we’ll hear about Codename Red and Codename Hexe too. Let’s get back to that free download though.

Take a look at Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s gameplay trailer below.

Last year, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla released the very popular ‘Bifröst Bundle’ which included the Shimmering Shield and Iridescent Axe. They were only available for one month, but if you missed out and have spent the past year regretting it, you’re in luck because they’re back. As discovered by Reddit user got_dam_librulz, the items have been readded to the Animus in-game store. Rejoice.

There’s no information at this time on how long the free bundle will be available for so if you have the game downloaded, I’d grab them while you can. Plenty of fans were excited about the discovery. One user wrote, “Holy s**t thank you!!! Been looking for a way to get this for what, a year?” while another added, “Oooh shiny. Thanks.”

As mentioned above, seeing as the bundle is from the in-game store, you’ll need to have the game currently downloaded which could prove to be somewhat annoying if you’re pushed for space on your console.

You can see what’s next for the franchise at the Ubisoft Forward on 12 June.
