Bad Boys 4: Will Smith and Martin Lawrence drop first teaser

Bad Boys 4: Will Smith and Martin Lawrence drop first teaser

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have dropped an update on the status of Bad Boys 4.

Three years on from the release of Bad Boys for Life, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have finally teased what we can expect from the upcoming Bad Boys 4 which is in production.

If you’re not up to date on the Bad Boys series, first of all, why not? Secondly, allow me to bring you up to speed. It was officially confirmed that Bad Boys 4 is on the way back in February. The series stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as a pair of detectives attempting to take down a drug ring. With each successive film, the stakes get bigger and bigger, but I won’t spoil all the fun. It was during the ongoing CinemaCon that Smith and Lawrence appeared via video link to update fans on the status of the film.

Who’s checked out recent release The Super Mario Bros. Movie? We spoke to star Anya Taylor-Joy about the film.

As reported by ComicBook, Smith and Lawrence made a virtual appearance during Sony’s Monday night CinemaCon panel. The duo sent in a video filmed on the set of Bad Boys 4. Smith teased, “We are on set. Sorry we couldn’t be there. We glad we not there ‘cause we here and they paying us to be here so we’re, like, happy that we’re here and not there.”

He continued, “Bad Boys 4 is coming. We are hyped, we excited! Fourth week of shooting.” It’s not much to go on, but at least we know that progress is underway. For a while, it was thought that Bad Boys 4 might be cancelled due to Smith’s Oscars slap debacle. The CEO of Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group soon put that rumour to rest though.

He said, “That was inaccurate. That movie’s been in development and still is. There weren’t any brakes to pump because the car wasn’t moving. That was a very unfortunate thing that happened, and I don’t think it’s really my place to comment, except to say that I’ve known Will Smith for many years and I know him to be a good person. That was an example of a very good person having a very bad moment, in front of the world. I believe his apology and regret is genuine, and I believe in forgiveness and redemption.”
