Mark Hamill has shared a heartwarming tribute to his Batman co-star Kevin Conroy, following the actor's shocking passing over the weekend.
On Friday (November 11), it was confirmed that Conroy had passed away following a lengthy battle with an undisclosed illness. He was 66 years old. While he enjoyed a prolific career on stage and screen, generations will no doubt know him best as the voice of Batman in multiple animated series and video games - most notably Batman: The Animated Series, and the Arkham games.
Tributes from fans and colleagues have come pouring in over the last few days, with many remembering Conroy as the definitive Batman. Now Hamill - widely considered the definitive Joker - has posted his own touching memorial to his old friend and sparring partner.

"Stunned by the loss of this brilliant actor," Hamill wrote. "Words can't express my admiration and respect for the man. I loved him like a brother.
“He truly cared for the people around him – his decency shone through everything he did. Every time I saw him or spoke with him, my spirits were elevated.
“It was one of those perfect scenarios where they got the exact right guy for the exact right part, and the world was better for it. His rhythms and subtleties, tones and delivery – that all also helped inform my performance. He was the ideal partner – it was such a complementary, creative experience. I couldn’t have done it without him. He will always be my Batman.”
Hamill joined Conroy in Batman: The Animated Series back in 1992. Their dynamic quickly earned critical acclaim and was praised by fans as one of the best Batman/Joker relationships. The two would continue to appear together as Batman and Joker over the years, their effortless chemistry providing Rocksteady's Arkham Trilogy with its twisted, beating heart.
