Modern Warfare 2 players are racking up thousands of XP in seconds through a hilarious exploit

Get rich quick

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer has been out for just under a week, but players have already stumbled across a genius exploit that allows them to earn thousands of XP in a matter of seconds.

It's worth noting before we dive in that this could be patched out at any moment. This info is still accurate at the time of writing, but don't be mad at us if Infinity Ward has changed it by the time you're reading these words!

As first discovered over on Reddit (obviously), pulling off this exploit is simple enough on paper - if a little fiddly in practice.

You'll need to find an enemy tank with an open hatch, get on top, and stick a suppression mine behind the turret. This will cause a hilarious chain reaction in which the mine constantly takes down the players inside the tank as they remain trapped inside, generating a disgusting amount of XP for the player that put the mine down.

Take a look at a video of the trick in action below to see what we mean!

While I have no doubt there are plenty of players who will find this exploit incredibly easy to pull off, it's definitely not something everyone is going to be able to do. Standing on top of a tank to plant a mine isn't exactly subtle, and if you can pull it off, get to safety, and detonate the mine without being gunned down first? Well, you've definitely earned all the XP you can eat, if you ask me.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is off to an incredibly strong start overall, with fans falling head over heels for the game's single-player campaign. Activision also confirmed earlier this week that the game's sales are up significantly compared to last year's Call Of Duty: Vanguard, a fact that surely means there's loads more Modern Warfare to come in the future.
