Call of Duty players has discovered a horrifying Zombies secret in Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered.

Call of Duty players has discovered a horrifying Zombies secret in Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered.

As reported by Comicbook.com, the sinister secret has been discovered in the remastered version of Modern Warfare 2 three years after it was initially released in March 2020. The discovery of this particular easter egg is a strange one when you consider the fact that this remaster features no multiplayer, let alone the iconic Zombies mode.

YouTuber MrDalekJD explained in a video that a Call of Duty fan known as Vlad searched for the word “zombie” in the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered files and discovered a reference to a Gulag zombie.

So how do you find this easter in-game? Firstly, you discover it by finding cell 227 in The Gulag mission, said to be in a ‘giant circular cell block’.

Then cook a grenade, throw it through a small window and then run to a nearby guard tower. In here, one of the monitors will turn on revealing a zombie with glowing eyes running in a prison cell all angry and thirsty for brains (probably).

It’s no wonder that it’s taken three years to discover this easter egg in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, as I can’t imagine anyone would randomly think of performing all the actions to activate it.

In related Call of Duty news, fans are claiming that the iconic ‘love it or hate it’ map, Shipment is ruining the game. Which all seems a bit drastic, considering the fact that they don’t have to play that map. What’s more, fans are also said to be split over the casting choice of Captain Price in the rumoured Call of Duty movie.
