'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Is Coming To Mobile Devices, Activision Confirms

Following Microsoft's proposed almost $70billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, there have been more than a few shake ups at the publisher. And a number of those have surrounded what is surely the world's biggest gaming property: Call Of Duty.

According to a poll, over 90% of Call of Duty players were pleased to hear that the franchise would be taking a year off to focus more on the quality of the next game. However, turns out that didn't mean that there wouldn't be any fresh multiplayer shooting action this year. Just that there wouldn't be anything from the mainline series.

Yes, don't worry first-person-shooting loving friends: there will definitely be more Call Of Duty coming in the near future. Want some spin-off game that's full of zombies for some reason? Don't worry, it's coming. Ever wondered what it would be like if Godzilla and King Kong were in Call Of Duty: Warzone? Well, you won't have to wonder much longer for that, either.

Now, according to ScreenRant and elsewhere, Activision has confirmed yet another Call Of Duty game which is in the works. The free-to-play Call Of Duty: Warzone is going portable, as the publisher has announced Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile. This announcement doesn't mean that the PC and console version is any less "f**ked up and broken", mind - which are the developers' words, not mine. It also doesn't mean that the sequel, Call Of Duty: Warzone II, isn't still supposedly coming next year.

However, the Call Of Duty franchise is well known to basically just print money. And when Call Of Duty: Mobile has millions of players, and there is an individual in-game item available for $99.99 (not really putting the 'micro' in 'microtransaction' there, Activision), who can blame them.
