Cyberpunk 2077, Days Gone, and Kill Bill collide in new Unreal Engine game

Cyberpunk 2077, Days Gone, and Kill Bill collide in new Unreal Engine game

This Unreal Engine game combines Cyberpunk 2077, Days Gone and Kill Bill

Despite being very different games, if there’s one thing that Cyberpunk 2077 and Days Gone have in common, is that both can be very brutally gorey at times. Yet, what if you mixed both of those games into a big pot with a hint of style from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill Vol.1, then you might get something like SuperSimmer.

Developed in indie studio Zefram, Inc., SuperSimmer (formerly Super1337 according to the developer’s Twitter page), is hack and slash beat ‘em up with additional PvP that looks to take the sci-fi style of Cyberpunk 2077, the relentless hordes of Days Gone and the combat of Kill Bill Vol.1. All in all, that should make for one epic concoction.

Check out the SuperSimmer gameplay below!

SuperSimmer is an intense third-person hack-n-slash wave-based survival game with time dilation mechanics made in Unreal Engine. With both melee and ranged-based characters, persevere against increasingly difficult odds by utilising different move sets and combos in bullet-time combat,” reads the description on the Steam store. SuperSimmer will feature three distinct play-styles, Simmer (light melee), Karate Knight (heavy melee) and The Bodyguard (ranged).

“Combat in SuperSimmer is a mixture of finesse and thought, encouraging careful consideration of move sets and combos in the split seconds of bullet time afforded you. Kill too slowly, and the length and frequency of your bullet time will quickly mean becoming overwhelmed, but fight without thought, and you may find yourself locked into a losing move.

“It is a constant fight to outpace your enemies, as the longer they live, the faster they become. Efficiency is key, but don’t be too slow…”. By the sounds of the description, SuperSimmer also seems like it's taken inspiration from indie classic, Superhot.

No release date has been announced for SuperSimmer at the time of writing. However, you can add it to your Steam wishlist to be notified of updates such as its launch.
