Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update introduces feature fans have begged for since launch

Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming Update 2.0 introduces feature fans have begged for since launch - altering tattoos.

Exciting news, Cyberpunk 2077 fans. The highly anticipated Update 2.0 is set to release in a few days, on 21 September to be exact. That means we'll gain access to a whole bunch of new gameplay features and quality of life upgrades.

CD Projekt RED first announced Update 2.0 at this year’s Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. Essentially, you won’t totally miss out if you don’t opt to get your hands on Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. The expansion is set to include a brand new locale, Dogtown, as well as a new main mission storyline along with side quests. Those elements are exclusive to the expansion, but all other upgrades and features are set to come to the base game in this week’s Update 2.0. There’s so much to get excited about, but it’s a certain change regarding appearance that’s left fans feeling very excited.

Take a look at Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty in action below.

As spotted by Reddit user misho8723, Update 2.0 will allow players to re-customise their appearance which includes altering things like tattoos and scars, which you can change at Ripperdocs. It’s a feature that’s been incredibly well-received, seeing as it’s something fans have been waiting for this launch. User rgmac1994 wrote, “Legit restarted once because I was tired of the tattoos. A bit silly, I know, but I'm glad this was added,” while SSJ3CalCal added, “I always found it weird that in a world where you can mod every part of your body you can't change tattoos. I'm glad they're putting it in now. I hope they add in more because the choices are sorely lacking at the moment.”

This is just one of many features set to be introduced in Update 2.0. Players will also get to experience redesigned cyberware, redesigned perks, a new relic skill tree, revamped police, new vehicles, new vehicular combat, mounted weaponry, an increased level cap, and ‘endless dynamic events’.

The update also includes upgraded combat mechanics so you can kick enemies, should you wish to, and use your katana to deflect bullets. It’s so exciting to see Cyberpunk 2077 finally reach its potential.
