Dying Light is free to download and keep

Easter is almost upon us which means you may be getting some downtime soon. If you’re in school or university, perhaps you're coasting towards the Easter holidays or spring break. If you’re in work, maybe you’ve got a few delightful bank holidays coming up. Either way, if you tick one of those boxes and you’re on this website, chances are you’ll be looking for a ‘new’ video game to play.

So what’s on offer? Resident Evil 4 is the latest hot release. GAMINGbible’s James rated the game a nine, writing, “Resident Evil 4 is a brilliant action-horror game and I’ll no doubt play through it multiple times over the coming months.” Personally, I’m a major fan of PlayStation Plus’ day one release Tchia. Already, players are calling it the ‘GOTY so far’. If that’s not up your alley, creepy fishing-sim Dredge has also been released to critical acclaim. Still not enough? You’re hard to please. As reported by TheNerdStash, reliable leaker billbil-kun has revealed that Dying Light The Following - Enhanced Edition will be free on the Epic Games Store from 6 April to 13 April. Released back in 2016, The Following - Enhanced Edition includes The Following DLC and the main 2015 baseline Dying Light game. The DLC boasts a huge map so if you’ve already played the base game, there’ll be plenty to keep you entertained here, and if you’re yet to sample the delights of the Dying Light series, you’re in even more luck.

As for the reliability of billbil-kun, they’re a pretty safe bet. The user leaks each month’s PlayStation Plus line-up practically always with pinpoint accuracy. That being said, do of course keep an eye out for an official announcement from Epic Games in the coming days.

If you’re new to the franchise, HowLongToBeat suggests that Dying Light could take you around 17.5 hours - although expect that number to increase if you strive to see all aspects of the game. You could take up to as much as 57 to reach full completion. The Following DLC will add on between 9 and 20 hours so by the sounds of it, there’s plenty to keep you busy.
