You can get a head start with this helpful Dragon's Dogma 2 app

Who doesn't like to go on an epic adventure to challenge mythical creatures and go on a treasure hunt? After all, it’s just a couple of reasons why we love RPG games such as Elden Ring and Skyrim.

This month sees the release of the highly anticipated Dragon’s Dogma 2 from Capcom, the sequel to the 2012 game for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, before arriving on other platforms. The original Dragon’s Dogma was a huge but not perfect, albeit fun, action RPG and its sequel aims to improve upon its formula in every way.

Check out the Dragon’s Dogma 2 trailer below!

From what we’ve seen of Dragon’s Dogma 2 so far, it’s looking like it won't disappoint especially with what we’ve seen of the giant metal monster inspired by Greek mythology, none other than Talos. However, something tells me that it won't be the only epic boss battle in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and each boss encounter will require a great deal of preparation.

Thankfully, in preparation for Dragon’s Dogma 2 arriving in just a couple of weeks, we can get a head start by creating our ‘Arisen’ avatar and even the trusty Pawn characters that will accompany us in the game to fight the good fight with the Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator & Storage app. Surprisingly, despite not being the full game and a mere sample of its character creation, this app is trending on Steam right now according to SteamDB.

At the time of writing, the Dragon’s Dogma 2 app has a 24-hour peak of over 8,500 concurrent players and we suspect that will only increase as the launch of Dragon’s Dogma 2 draws near. The free Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator & Storage app is also available on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Marketplace.

This very handy app will allow you to create up to five Arisen and Pawns each that can then be transferred into Dragon’s Dogma 2 when you buy it separately. That being said, Capcom has stated in the description of the app that additional graphic options will be available in the full game. Still, it’s nice to have the option to get a head start now and then tweak our characters at release.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be released on 22 March for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
