Fallout Cascadia trailer drops, looks like the best Fallout in a long time

Fallout: Cascadia trailer has arrived and it looks epic

We can never get enough of the post-apocalyptic wasteland that Bethesda’s iconic Fallout series has to offer. It doesn't matter if it's from Bethesda or modders, we want all the content and the upcoming ‘Fallout: Cascadia’ has us hyped.

Released in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Fallout 4 was met with critical acclaim boasting a Metacritic score of 87. However, it’s now been nearly 10 years since the release of Fallout 4 and fans are eager for more juicy content or even a new game in the series (where are you Fallout 5?).

Thankfully, fans won't be waiting much longer for official Fallout 4 content from Bethesda as this year we’ll be treated to the highly anticipated free new-gen update. Yet, we will be waiting much longer for Fallout 5 but until that time arrives, modders have us covered with content such as ‘Fallout: Cascadia’.

As reported by DSOGaming, ‘Fallout: Cascadia’ has at the time of writing been six years in the making so you’d be forgiven if you had forgotten it was a thing. Luckily, the ‘Fallout: Cascadia’ mod for Fallout 4 is alive and well, as indicated by its recent showcase trailer.

‘Fallout: Cascadia’ is an expansion-sized mod that takes vault dwellers to the Pacific Northwest, more specifically, the city of Seattle. This meaty mod not only brings a new location but also new story missions, enemies, NPCs, factions and much more.

The recent showcase trailer gives us a taste of what to expect from ‘Fallout: Cascadia’ and if we were told that this was an official Bethesda mod, I think most of us might believe that. There is no release date for ‘Fallout: Cascadia’ at the time of writing and given that the modding team is on the hunt for recruits, its launch is likely very far off.

Fallout 4 is out now and is backwards compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It’s also available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no extra cost.
