Two gamers allegedly got jobs at Amazon, just so that they could steal copies of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Oddly enough, as reported by Kotaku, both gamers who stole copies of the latest Zelda game for Nintendo Switch did so in separate isolated incidents. The first instance of Zelda theft relates to a 21-year-old male who landed a job at Amazon about a month prior to the launch of Tears of the Kingdom as a delivery driver. However, a few days before the big launch, the employee went AWOL.
In other news, players are terrorising the game's Koroks.
When a member of staff called the home of the absent employee, his mother answered and informed them that her son was playing video games. It was soon discovered that the AWOL employee was playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, despite the game not being available to purchase. It was later revealed that the copy of the game was pinched from the warehouse when they arrived. The employee later paid for the game and was sacked.

The second individual, a 24-year-old man, also stopped coming to work just before the release of Tears of the Kingdom, but this now ex-employee at least went the extra mile. Not content with just pinching a copy of the game, he also nabbed Zelda merchandise including amiibo’s as well as the gorgeous Tears of the Kingdom pro controller. It was allegedly the man's intention to sell the stolen goods on a third-party website. The lesson to be learned here is: don’t be a thief.
