Sounds about right.

I'm not entirely convinced that many people knew who Zack Snyder really was before the original Justice League came out. Sure he was a huge, successful director at the time with Watchmen and 300 up his sleeve, but his name had a huge surge in recognition after calls for 'The Snyder Cut' boomed across the internet. You couldn't go a day without hearing someone talk about how much better Justice League would have been if Snyder had got to complete the project and then fans got their wish. However, for his next project Army of the Dead, there won't be a Synder cut folks - stop asking.

Zack Snyder's Justice League got released earlier this year to the delight of many - a reimagining of 2017's Justice League that had many of Synder's elements reintroduced after he didn't complete the original film. The key to that situation is indeed the fact that sadly Synder didn't finish the original cut. Therefore no there will not be a Snyder cut of Army of the Dead.

GamesRadar+ sat in on a press conference where the team asked Synder if there was ever going to be a director's cut of Army of the Dead. As I said, the answer is no, but here's what the director did say in response.

"This was the most gratifying experience making this movie. This is the movie," says Snyder. "There are no other cuts of the movie. I didn't have to fight them. It was the opposite. This is the director's cut, and you're going to see it first. You don't have to see the bastardized version first, there's just the awesome version."

So, when Army of the Dead comes out on Netflix on May 21, you can just be happy in the knowledge that it's the one and only version of the film we're going to get. Snyder I'm going to have to get you to pinky promise on that one, mate.
